December is an extra busy time of year in our house. Not only is there Christmas but three birthdays: mine (1st), Joey (6th) and Sarah (14th).When the kids were small we used to have separate cakes and parties for each but boy was that a lot of work, not to mention fattening.So for the past several years we have combined our cake celebration. This year we were all supposed to be at my mom's for dinner and cake except my mom went out and broke her hip. So we had an impromptu cake celebration at our house with the cake my mom had arranged before her fall.BTW, my mom did well in her surgery and all things considered is doing well.
