Pergoda anyone??

Up until three weeks ago I have never heard the word "pergoda" but that of course was before Deb bought one!!

Pictured above is our newest addition to the backyard assembled by yours truly (with a little help from the neighbour to hold it while I inserted beam 3 into rib 5). The idea of course is to provide some shade from the afternoon sun and the oppressive heat we experience on the patio which faces almost due west. I am pleased to report that it works quite well actually and even keeps the monsoon rains we have been having off of the furniture.


Below is an update pic of the pond. The lily pads are coming in nicely and the water is clean and clear.
