The ship was docked at Valparaiso which is on the coast. A nice enough looking city from the bus tour we took getting to the docks. Chile’s most important export is copper. We actually passed a copper mine on the trip to the coast. Naturally they pay tribute to their important mineral by way of a large statue in the city. It looks like a large twisted pair of wires. The building you see is the Parliament building which for some reason I did not understand the bus driver explained moved from the capital Santiago to here. Interesting looking building to say the least.
Last two are from the harbour and the hills surrounding the port. Residents take “elevators” to get to their homes. The hills are quite steep and cars cannot park in the streets as they are too steep.
