More penguins

Part of the cove is beach which the penguins sleep on during the mid day. At any one time one half of the penguins are in the sea looking for food. Sea lions are their natural predators and they hover off the shoreline.

The tour included tea and pastries in a make shift café/trailer. Tea was served in proper British form (cup and saucer) and the home made pastries, scones and breads were delicious. There is a local berry called the diddle-dee berry from which they make a tart jam that goes so well with the scones.

Tony our 4x4 driver is pictured next to his land Rover and the last one is part of the route back to the buses. Tony was actually captured by the Argentinians back in 1982. The sign before the bridge says: no passing.
