Stanley

Stanley is a great little place. The homes and grounds are well looked after and very British. The first pic is on a brick home, one of the few. These were built for the Silver Jubilee of Queen Victoria. The second pic is of a whale bone arch outside of Christ Church and right after is a pic of the church itself. The last one is the police station.

There are about 3,000 permanent residents. Everyone has all their health care paid for and medical evacuations for serious cases are via Leer jet to Santiago Chile. Clearly somewhere else in Argentina would be closer but that is out of the questions. Children go to school and if they have the marks they get a free post secondary education in England. Many of the children do come home eventually. He few that become doctors will have to do their residency and specialities elsewhere but they come back. The population is actually starting to rise. Young families are moving in particularly from Australia.

The British maintain a military presence here and once during the morning a British fighter jet zoomed across the sky. Areas outside of Stanley are still off limits because of land mines.
