Neil Lumsden Tribute Dinner to support Community Living Burlington

March 4, 2009 (Burlington, ON) – Former Canadian Football League (CFL) player and Burlington business man, Neil Lumsden, will be honoured at a tribute dinner to be held by Community Living Burlington on April 23, 2009 it was announced today.

“Community Living Burlington is delighted to hold this dinner in Neil Lumsden’s honour,” said CLB President Joe Nemet. “From his days as a member of the Hamilton Tiger Cats to his extensive work in the community, Neil Lumsden has been a strong supporter of Burlington and of the work done by local groups such as Community Living Burlington.”

Celebrities from the sports and entertainment industry including Michael Lansberg (Host of TSN’s Off the Record), John Shannon (Executive Vice President of Programming and Production for the National Hockey League and Executive In Charge of Programming and Production for NHL Network), Gord Kirke (“Lawyer to the Stars” and broadcaster), Jesse Lumsden (Edmonton Eskimos), Greg Marshall (Head Coach, University of Western Ontario), John Wells (TSN CFL commentator) and others will honour Mr. Lumsden.

“It is truly an honour to be recognized by Community Living Burlington at its President’s Dinner,” said Mr. Lumsden. “The caliber of speakers promises an exciting and fun evening, and I know that I will be on the edge of my seat. The Neil Lumsden Tribute Dinner is taking place on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Burlington Convention Centre, 1120 Burloak Drive, Burlington. The event gets underway with cocktails at 6:00 p.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m., with a silent auction and door prizes to follow.
