Ketchikan, Alaska

We woke up to a beautiful day in Ketchikan, the gateway to Alaska. Ketchikan has about 13,000 people, is the salmon capital of North America and gets 180 inches of rain a year.

The town is awash in jewellery stores selling expensive diamonds and watches. We were fortunate because at this time the year the salmon are running and as the next set of pics will attest this is the salmon capital.
