More along the summer theme

I spent part of the weekend opening up my pond. If you have ever closed and opened a swimming pool you know the sort of work involved. Let me tell you though, the water is damn cold as my hands can attest. This shot was when the pond was first constructed back in 2004. We have now about 12 fish in there (how they survive the winter under the ice is a mystery) and several small fry. I guess there was more than just hibernating going on.
